Dairy cows can make a great theme for a baby shower! Everyone loves adorable black and white cows, and of course the idea of "milk," is very appropriate for any baby shower. We used the colors black and white, then accents of pink and blue, because the sex of the baby will be a surprise upon delivery.
The dessert table featured a milk bar.
I designed the back drop with a pink and blue quilted pieces with cow photos, then added a cow print banner, milk jug made from poster board, and hung streamers for a touch of pink and blue.
I baked a cake with fondant baby cow in a diaper and pink and blue cupcakes in a quilt pattern. In addition we placed lots of sweet treats in blue and pink.
I also created a "Chuck Wagon" sign for the food table, as something funny because the dad's name is actually Chuck.
We dressed the guest tables in alternating black and white table clothes, pink and blue plates, cow print napkins wrapped silverware, a cow cookie favor, and the centerpieces were vintage milk bottles with paper straws, cow sign, and a plate of delicious chocolate chip cookies.
The guests really enjoyed the centerpieces. I think interactive centerpieces are the best thing for any party.
The favors were adorable cow cookies with a sign that read, "You're udderly appreciated! Thank Moo!"
Favors for the kids were cow cups, filled with a cow football, bracelet, and Cow Tails.
We played fun games such as "Guess How Many Cookies," "Break the Water," and "Pin the Pacifier on the Cow." It was an udderly good time!
