Step 1 Place a dinner plate on top of a footed plate. The dinner plate should be slightly smaller than the footed one.
Step 2 Cut a stripe of corrugated paper about 3" wide (depending on the height of your bowl, see step 3) and long enough to cover the dinner plate with overlap. Fasten the ends with a staple forming a ring and then fasten the ribbon in place, at the back with a staple and at the front with a plastic pin. Put the paper ring in place, the plate will hold it in a perfect circular shape.
Step 3 Place a bowl about 3" high and of a suitable diameter
onto the dinner plate. The rim of the bowl will hold the paper ring and
keep it in place.
Step 4 Place a small bowl with a flat rim in the center of the big bowl.
Step 5 Fill the gap with assorted dried leaves and flowers and fill the small bowl with water. Sprinkle some small pieces of dried leaves over the water.
Step 6 Arrange the glass birds around the pool.
