Step 1 Place a plate upside down on the table.
Step 2 Put a vase on top and fill with rice.
Step 3 Stick the stems into the rice.
Step 4 Cut a stripe of metallic gold corrugated paper long enough to cover the vase with overlap and in same height of the vase. Cut a hole in the center in a size to fit the bird. See step 7.
Step 5 Cover the vase with the paper and fasten ends with a staple. Arrange small pebbles on top of the rice.
Step 6 For the bird on front the vase: Cut a circle from the corrugated paper to fit the plastic cover. Cut holes of the same size as that of the paper cover (step 4) in both paper circle and cover.
Step 7 Glue the paper circle onto the plastic cover.
Step 8 Attach the bird to the back of plastic cover with a strong adhesive tape.
Step 9 Attach the above bird with the plastic cover to the base of the centerpiece. Attach the birds to the branches with their clips.
Step 10 To make the favor box: Cut a stripe of corrugated paper to
fit around the plastic box and fasten ends with a staple or glue. Cut a
circle of the paper and glue it to the cover. Make a hole just big enough to
insert the bird's clip and secure in place.
