How to pick a safe paint for the nursery?
After deciding which color will be on my nursery walls I was looking for safe paint suppliers.
Safety is my first priority for my family.
Do you know what the major health risks in your home are?
Answer: the air in your house.
One of the leading causes of that are the paints that we used that contain VOCs.
What is a VOC?
VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds. VOCs are present in many home products including paints, paint strippers etc. The solvents used in these products vaporize into the air while drying. This is called off gassing and it may continue for months or even years after the liquid products have dried.
How can VOC harm me and my baby?
Exposure to VOCs in paint has been linked to health effects such as asthma attacks, eye irritation
and respiratory problems, nausea and dizziness and extended exposure to kidney and liver disease
and even cancer.
We all want to feel safe in our home, and we want it to be beautiful. Today we can have both.
